[FTG] Nine Kings seen in Lightbringer

In the last month, I’ve had ample amount of time to finish reading The Broken Eye (Lightbringer #3) and digest everything in this great series. Now Nine Kings doesn’t play as large a role in this book as the previous one, but it’s certainly there in the undercurrent. Once again, I’ll try to keep the […]

[FTG] Coming soon… 9 Kings seen in Lightbringer by Brent Weeks

Alright, sorry for the preview post. But I mostly just wanted to let everyone know I’m still alive. Beginning of the semester is always a busy time for me at work, and while I’m definitely still reading, I don’t have as much time for writing. I was hoping on having something up for September, and […]

Moving Servers

In the next few weeks I’ll be moving Hosting Servers. Hopefully if I do things properly there will be minimal downtime, but I want to get the new account setup and all my files transferred before changing my domain. Feel free to send me an email if things don’t look like they should.

Re-employed

Well I’ll soon be re-employed as a Software Developer and hopefully that means I’ll be able to be more motivated to ASoOJ. Things have been slow around these parts as I looked for a new job, and the Amateur Game Designer had to take a back seat the Professional in me. Gotta put some food […]

Roll-Playing and Contests

So I had planned to write a bit about the session that I’m GMing right now. But that’ll probably have to wait until later. For now, let’s talk about Contests. For whatever reason I’m a sucker for Contests. I have always had a lucky streak. And contests for cool systems that I’ve been wanting to […]

Groundhog Day

I have a bit of a tradition in attempting to watch Bill Murray’s genius “Groundhog Day” on February 2nd. I don’t know if the film is in my top 10 of films, but I always enjoy it when I watch. I have it on DVD, but didn’t feel like digging through my stuff to find […]

Game Design

I don’t mind stating the obvious on the ASoOJ blog. It’s because random people stumbling upon this may not be familiar with what it is. But basically, I really enjoy hobbyist game design. It’s not something I’ve been doing for very long, but nonetheless it’s fun to create your own stuff, and try it out. […]

Update

Well, I went through and cleaned up wordpress a bit. Deleted a bunch of the spam users, added my twitter account to the sidebar. So a quick recap on my projects for this site. The first which is the larger of the two is the board game Global Skirmish that is based in Google Maps. […]

Mid-month updates

So I’m currently trying to post blog updates right around the pay period. For me that’s the 15th and 30th, so I’ll just call that twice a month and go for there. I won’t always have game related updates every 2 weeks, but I’ve been much better in the last few weeks with updating a […]

Vermont

Now.. as I’ve suggested, July is a month just packed full of stuff somehow. I’m glad we were able to move from our old place early, cause it really allowed us not to worry too much this month since it’s so busy. But this post is about Vermont. We’ll (me and my crew)be going up […]
